Virgil Threlkel, BRAE Instructional Support Technician, is a full-time staff member in the BRAE Department. He facilitates departmental, college, and university related jobs, which support the BRAE faculty teaching and student learning experience. Virgil is also involved with Quarter Scale and Tractor Pull activities. 
 
Virgil currently employs eight student assistants of which five are highly trained as student supervisor technicians, assisting in maintenance and support of all BRAE lab facilities. The work he does is all about the students and betterment of the department. Working hard at maintaining our Learn by Doing philosophy. 
 
Look for Virgil at the weekly AES BBQ's, giving guidance to students engaged in student projects, i.e., Quarter Scale or senior projects, student events, or on the ramp. His office is located in 8A Lab 7; however, he can usually be found in lab 6 or 7.
