Sarah Alford is a graduate of the BioResource and Agricultural Engineering program at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She teaches the lab activities for Principles of Irrigation (BRAE 236), Hydraulics (BRAE 312), and Irrigation Water Management (BRAE 340). Sarah also works as an Irrigation Support Engineer at the externally funded Irrigation Training and Research Center (ITRC) housed within the BRAE department. She’s assisted with various ITRC projects including research related to emerging electronic flow measurement technologies. Sarah also teaches some of the lab portions of the irrigation short courses offered in the summer through the ITRC.

When she’s not at Cal Poly, Sarah keeps busy working on her family’s central coast ranch. She oversees the management of the beef cattle herd and assists with operations related to crop production.
