Employers of BRAE/ASM Graduates

BRAE and ASM graduates are employed by a wide variety of companies throughout California and beyond, including:

G3 Enterprises is an independent company managed by the third generation of the E&J Gallo family.  Their main client is Gallo, but they also serve other wineries.  They are the logistics end of the business.  They specialize in the beginning and ending of wine making, beginning with transporting the crop from the vineyards to the various wineries.  This is the side of the company that hires our ASM students for internships and permanent positions.  Comments from our students about their internships include on the fly problem solving and thankful for the communication and personnel management skills they have learned at Cal Poly.  G3 is also responsible for bottling and shipping the wine, including label design, corking/capping, boxing, shipping.  These responsibilities include inventory management and product quality control.

We don’t consider what we do at Hartman Engineering work; we are fulfilling our passion of creating a renewable future for our family and friends in agriculture and our local communities. Years of experience in designing and improving over anaerobic dairy digesters, pistachio processing facilities, and more has allowed us to re-imagine conventional design practices and technologies. We aim to close the loop on industrial processes and create healthy environments by building together – the path to a healthier tomorrow.

Orchard Machinery Corporation was formed in 1961, designing and fabricating mechanized tree shakers to enable a more efficient harvest. This technology provided growers with more consistent harvests and lower labor costs. Today, OMC is an international leader in the production of tree shakers and orchard management equipment to farmers around the world. All equipment is proudly designed and manufactured in the United States. Currently, OMC employs three Cal Poly BRAE alumni in their research and development department. These engineers are on the forefront of designing the most technologically advanced orchard harvesting equipment to supply the ever-growing demand for a quicker and more efficient harvest. The team uses their engineering skills obtained from Cal Poly to design equipment ranging from tree shakers to OMC’s new product line of orchard management equipment. These designs require an integration of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to make this equipment operate at peak performance.
