What he does now:
Project Engineer and Civil Department Head for Redding Office, SHN Consulting Engineers & Geologists.

At SHN Consulting, Mr. Barnett manages wastewater and domestic water project design, land development (grading, drainage, site plans), water balance for wastewater disposal via irrigation, and automated check structure design. He is a Technical Service Provider (TSP) for the NRCS, and has worked on Langemann gate calibrations for AquaSystems 2000 and the LA Dept. of Water Power. Prior to working at SHN Consulting, Mr. Barnett was the Lead Engineer for Roza Irrigation District for ten years.

Why he recommends Cal Poly's BRAE department:
"I have found that whether I live in Washington State or Northern California, people know of Cal Poly and think of Cal Poly in very high regard. I gain instant credibility when I tell someone I am an Ag Engineering grad from Poly. In addition, I know of no other coworker who has the resources at hand of their alma mater like I do from Cal Poly, the ITRC and Dr. Burt in particular. I use the tools I acquired from Poly on a daily basis."
